Inspector of the Year
Dwayne Jones
Dwayne has been an inspector for the City of Raleigh, for 23 years and has been in his current position as an Assistant Chief for 7 years.
He performs all the Q & A inspections for the mechanical group. When finding any issues, he will get with the inspector for one-on-one time at the project in question.
Dwayne works hard to create consistency among our inspectors. He will use his findings from Q & A’s as a discussion point in our weekly meetings.
The past few years, Dwayne has been a member of our Building and Safety Committee.
During the entire month of May, the committee brings awareness to the public and construction industry, about building and safety
Dwayne is a very good inspector. He can inspect any project, no matter the size or complexity. He is well-liked and respected by his co-workers and those in other departments.
Dwayne's customer service skills are outstanding, he has a calm demeanor, when dealing with homeowners in difficult situations.
Although calm, Dwayne knows how to be firm and professional when dealing with contractors, engineers or anyone else in the construction industry.
When making a decision, it will be researched, and code driven. He stands behind his decisions with confidence and does not give off a sense of arrogance.
Anything I have asked Dwayne to do, he does it with a great attitude and to the best of his ability.
